A long-time Capitol Hill fave, Victrola has been in the business for 21 years! You can grab coffee, pastries beans, and even get a coffee subscription through them if you’re really into coffee. Their Pike St location is a perfect stop if you’re on a walk towards downtown.

Volunteer Park Cafe

Newly reopened and reinvented, Volunteer Park Cafe has been serving the north Capitol Hill neighborhood for decades. You can grab a coffee, wine, pastries, and more here. It’s pretty much the perfect spot to come after wandering Volunteer Park.

Ghost Note Coffee

Analog Coffee

Wunderground

This brand definitely offers the most unique coffee on this list. Wunderground is a local coffee company serving up delicious adaptogenic mushroom coffee. Right now you can visit a pop-up in Capitol Hill’s Chophouse Row for the foreseeable future and try a coffee or two. Of course, you can also take some beans home as well.

Espresso Vivace

Capitol Hill has one of the last walk-up coffee bars in the city and has been around since the 80s. Vivace is a staple in the neighborhood and pretty much the perfect grab-and-go spot. Plus they have long enough hours to grab a coffee both before and after work.

Caffe Vita

This spot is another independent & locally-owned cafe that has been around since 1995! Caffee Vita now has locations across the nation and all of their beans are imported directly from the farm and roasted on-site. During non-pandemic times they offer a free brewing class held on third Sundays at their roasting facility on Capitol Hill.
